application ("App").

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and
display name through Firebase Authentication (including Google Sign-In).
Camera & Photos: Our App accesses your device camera to scan food items, fridges,
receipts, and nutrition labels. Images are processed by our secure Smart AI System and are not permanently
stored on our servers.
Pantry & Recipe Data: Information about your pantry items, recipes, meal plans, and
shopping lists is stored securely in Firebase Firestore under your user account.
Purchase Information: If you subscribe to WhatTheFridge Pro or purchase credit packs,
transaction data is handled by Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details.
Usage Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used. This
includes anonymized usage patterns, crash reports, and performance data.
3. How We Use Your Information
To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (scanning, recipe generation, pantry management)
To process subscriptions and in-app purchases
To improve the App through analytics and crash reporting
To send push notifications about completed AI tasks (with your permission)
To display relevant advertisements to free-tier users via Google AdMob
4. Advertising
Our free tier displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage
data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
Pro subscribers do not see any ads.
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, analytics, cloud functions, and hosting
WhatTheFridge Smart AI System — Image analysis and recipe generation
RevenueCat — Subscription and purchase management
Google AdMob — Advertising for free-tier users
Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing the data they process. We do not sell your
personal data to any third party.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Camera images used for scanning are processed in
real-time and are not stored on our servers after analysis is complete.
7. Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email
below. Upon account deletion, all personal data including pantry items, recipes, and usage history will be
permanently removed within 30 days.
8. Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services with encryption in transit and at rest. We
implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. Your data is stored in
secure data centers managed by Google Cloud Platform.
9. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us
immediately.
This app is intended for users aged 18 and over.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access and receive a copy of your personal data
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent for data processing
